Peacemakers commence S.Y. 2018-2019

Albert Einstein School is known for its traditions, and that includes its opening ceremony.  It has been a tradition to welcome the school year with a blast.

For this school year, the batch of the Peacemakers opened the academic classes in a very awe-inspiring and one of a kind way last June 18, 2018 at AES gymnasium.

The aforesaid event was headed by the Senior Class Association under the leadership of Nurfaiyden Mangelen in which Bea Samantha Masmodi, the Math Society Club President, hosted the opening ceremonies.

The program formally started with the processional march of the administration, faculty, and workforce headed by the school director, Sir Edison B. Morales. During the opening ceremony, Ma’am Florence Buat, the school principal, delivered her welcome address. Then, it was followed by the singing of the National Anthem, reciting of the school creed, and the singing of the school song. Furthermore, Xybelle Emblawa, president of the La Liga Filipina, Sayyid Abas, secretary of the Math Society, and Anne Margarita Yu Ekey, the president of Religious Youth in Action, sang the "Prayer for Peace" by Himig Heswita as the Opening Prayer. It was followed by the introduction of the administration, faculty, staff, and workforce for this school year 2018-2019.

It has been a usual practice of Albert Einstein School to light the torches that represent its core values. Moreover, Nurfaiyden Mangelen, Senior Class Association President, held the torch of academic excellence, Datu Zaldy Ampatuan, Central Student Council President, clutched the torch of leadership, and Shanie Sabang, Citizenship Advancement Training, grasped the torch of service.

The long wait was over. In addition, the Peacemakers presented a heartfelt Filipino opening presentation that outdid understanding about “Peace” as they encouraged everyone to become agents of peace.

At the end, the program was a success as Sir Edison B. Morales, the School Director, gave the Peacemakers a 98 for their opening ceremony, and he hoped that this year would truly be a peaceful year for the school.
